ESTRO’s involvement in my professional career development has been vital.  Finland has a limited amount of advanced teaching courses on radiotherapy, so the courses have been important in expanding my knowledge.  My first ESTRO course was the Target Volume Determination course in 2009 and it was during this course I really understood how the different radiotherapy concepts are connected.  I think that the ESTRO courses are extremely relevant to my career as I’m able to compare and verify our clinical procedures to other international clinics. In this way I can confirm that I am giving the best possible care and treatment to my patients.
