Supporting over 7600 professionals
Radiotherapy in Israel received a big push when one of the earliest annual ESTRO meetings took place in Jerusalem in 1984. This put radiotherapy on the map in Israel and resulted in public interest in radiotherapy and investment in modern equipment and staffing. ISCORT (The Israel Society for Clinical Oncology and Radiation Therapy) was established soon after. Since then many young radiation oncologists have benefitted from participation in ESTRO courses and conferences and all radiation oncologists in training are sponsored by ISCORT as members in ESTRO.
